So, I’ll be heading to Charleston for 3 days to spend 3 days at the beach. I haven’t been in almost a year to the sand and salt water and all this talk of people getting bit by sharks in SC doesn’t scare me a bit. If only I could catch a couple fishing from the surf.
I love the beach, and this year is probably the least amount of time I’ve spent at the beach in a long time. We’ve made more trips to the mountains than normal though in the past year as well. I really can’t decide which I love best. I love to go to the beach, fish in the mornings and evenings, and sit on the beach ALL day and read 4 books during the week. However, I love packing up and heading to the mountains for some hiking and camping. So, this brings me to my question of the day.
Which do you like better? The beach or the mountains? If you have only 3 days of vacation, where are you going to spend it?

I prefer the mountains by a long shot. But the beach is close, so if I only have three days, I’m not going to want to spend much of it driving. So if three days it is, I’m spending them at/near the beach.
Hope you have a fun/relaxing three days. We spent four days in Hilton Head last week. So nice just to get away.

Comment by stunningman July 10, 2008 @ 9:13 amI would have to say the beach if there is some type of surfing involved, but if there isn’t any surf and I had to sit somewhere for awhile, I would go with a mountain stream.
Have fun and don’t get to sun burnt…
Comment by chadrochester July 10, 2008 @ 9:56 amI prefer the beach. It’s a great place to have allergic reactions to animal bites and have friends just like Travis Wright to run, get massive burns and blisters on his feet and call the ambulance for a friend who is vomiting on the sand. That’s why the beach is definitely my favorite place to go! Thanks Trav!

Comment by Glowright July 13, 2008 @ 7:26 amNo doubt, the beach is my favorite! Looking forward to a week at the beach next summer with all the family like we did last year.
Love you, MOM
i thought about you rhodesy as we were walking down to the lighthouse to fish on friday morning…what a good time!
did anyone see that someone got bit by a shark again on IOP on Friday? good thing we were at folly.
i would agree that there is no good surfing, but i don’t surf so it doesn’t matter to me…i just sit on the beach and read as many books as possible.
